Feeling Stressed?

How often do you hear or say this:
“I’m so stressed out'.”
”I feel too stressed.”
”I’m too stressed to sleep/work out/enjoy…”

Stress truly is symptom of the strange times we live in and sometimes, it seems inevitable. But it doesn’t have to be.

If you’d like to get some help to cope with the stress you experience in your daily life, or you’d like to reduce the stress you feel, I’m here to help.

I provide one-on-one programs to help busy people cope with stress and sleeplessness, as the two often go hand in hand. Together, we’ll look at tools for immediate relief and strategies to reduce your stress long-term.

In our first, free session, we’ll discuss the ways in which you need help, what your goals are and how much time you’ll be able to dedicate to them. A personalised program might look something like this:

In session 1, we might work on concrete tools to tackle your stress when you feel it in the moment. Say you are at work and you feel your tension levels rising, what can you do in the moment to find some relief? We’ll look at techniques from yoga, different mediation traditions and Polyvagal theory.

You’ll receive a personalised audio exercise this week and every other week.

In the second session, we can discuss what meditation or mindfulness techniques you can incorporate into your daily or weekly schedule to reduce the effect stress has on your life in the long term.

In session 3, we can discuss what techniques worked for you and make adjustments. Are you more comfortable with physical techniques, mental exercises or breathwork? It’s important to find stress-relief techniques that you enjoy, that work for you and are realistic for your life.

In session 4, we can take a look at how your day-to-night rhythm may be affecting your stress levels or the effect stress has on you. Are you sleeping OK? Do you wake up in the middle of the night?

In session 5, we could discuss the physical effects of stress and how we can use physical exercise and routines to relax your body and your mind. How can you use mindful movement to drop down into your body and stop being so ‘in your head.’

In the sixth session, we can evaluate, adjust and integrate. Often times when we take courses or learn new things, these new things stay at the course. We’ll discuss how you can integrate these new things, all of this new information, in your life to make a lasting change.

At the end of our program, you’ll be left with a number of practical techniques, tools and a new lease on life. You’ll also have six audio exercises that are yours to keep forever.
